The best UVB bulb for a tortoise is a linear T5 HO fluorescent tube, and the Zoo Med ReptiSun 10.0 Mini Compact Fluorescent Lamp is the one I recommend most often. It carries 10 percent UVB and 30 percent UVA through a UVB-transmitting quartz glass envelope, sits at a 4.5 rating across thousands of reviews, … Read more
Meat is the one food category where the wrong piece of equipment can quietly ruin a whole season of work. A boiling water bath tops out at 212 degrees Fahrenheit, and that is not hot enough to destroy the spores of Clostridium botulinum in low-acid meat. Pressure canning holds the jars at roughly 240 degrees … Read more
Yes, you can put a sauna in an apartment, and steam is the format that makes it practical. A portable steam sauna needs no drilling, no plumbing and no 220V circuit. It runs off a normal 110V wall outlet, pops up in under ten minutes and folds into a closet when you are done. The … Read more
If you are searching for the best cold plunge tubs with chillers, you are really comparing three things: how hard the chiller pulls the water down, how well the tub holds that temperature, and whether the brand will still sell you parts in year three.
